We are SUPER happy with the room Dynamic Floor Covering refinished for us. We truly thought the floor was a goner, but they worked magic and brought it back to life! They were honest in their assessment of the stains, which we appreciated. The workers were timely, worked quickly and cleaned up well. We highly recommend them for great work at a fair price!

After 34 years of care, wear and tear, our random width, white oak floors really needed professional attention. We solicited three bids and all came in within a few hundred dollars for, essentially, the same level of service. We easily arrived at our decision based, mainly, on our discussion with Dynamic Floor Covering's primary Sales Rep., Dimitry. He explained the process from start to finish. During our discussions we learned that Dynamic is a family owned business whose members take great pride in delivering excellent workmanship with an on-time start and finish. We chose the satin finish and absolutely love seeing how the finish showcased some of the variations in the wood grain and color. It feels like a brand new home. This is a strong business with knowledgable and caring professionals.

Dimitri and his family did a beautiful job refinishing a very dirty and light damaged oak floor. The shine and luster is incredible, floor looks newly laid and it is 40 years old! They also moved heavy furniture and cleaned up very well after the job! Highly recommend

I can not speak highly enough of Alex, Dimitry, and David. They are artists who do an amazing job and charge a very fair price. We have a 1754 house, so nothing is simple. We asked them to refinish the flooring that we had in the great room. I have just completed renovating and wanted to have the 1950's floors refinished. Maybe someday we will put period flooring in, but for now, we just wanted the floor that we have to match the renovation. They blew us away with their quality and attention to detail. Alex was very patient with us and explained the whole process. In three days, our floor went from beat-up to beautiful. We were so impressed with their work, that we had them restore the historical plank floors that we have upstairs in our hallway and in one bedroom. They far exceeded what they did downstairs. I told Alex, my only regret is that we could not take the upstairs floors and bring them downstairs. We will be hiring them for all of our future flooring work. DO NOT HIRE ANYONE ELSE! These guys are the best. (I have inserted before and after pictures; you be the judge)

The company was very profesional, was able to get my floor done in a timely manner that fit my schedule. The final product looked fantastic. They were even able to remove and replace some gouges that had been put into the hardwood over the years. They blended some new flooring in to match the old one where a floor vent had been seamlessly. Would definitely recommend or use them again if I ever needed to.

Dynamic Floor Covering with Dimitry at the helm, gave us a truly beautiful, refinished, fresh, and modernized look to our outdated, orange, honied, oak hardwood floor. He is a budding entrepreneur who is very knowledgeable in the flooring industry. Along with his Brother, and most wonderful Father Alex, who not only took care to put the water based coats atop the floor in his socks,

so as to not scratch the floor, he spoke a little Russian with us, with what little we know and it made us very happy. We have other sections of our home to be done and we will go nowhere else. This company is top notch, the pricing was in line but most importantly, they are skilled, personable, trust worthy and efficient. We look forward to them returning to our home, and recommend Dynamic Flooring highly.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask before they book.

How long does refinishing take?

Typical projects run 3-7 days. Finish type affects the schedule: water-based polyurethane dries in roughly 2 to 4 hours, so several coats can go on in one day, while oil-based usually allows only one coat per 24 hours.

Can you refinish old or historic floors?

Yes. Original solid wood floors can normally be sanded and brought back rather than torn out, as long as there is enough wood above the tongue-and-groove. We check the boards, tell you honestly whether they can be saved, and walk you through stain and finish options. One customer's house was built in 1754: we refinished the 1950s floors in the great room in three days, then restored the historical plank floors in the upstairs hallway and a bedroom.

Should I refinish or replace?

If the existing hardwood can be sanded and saved, refinishing is usually the smarter move. If you replace instead, new hardwood floors in three rooms or more get $750 off.
